My Support In My Life!
When I read the assignment for this week, I immediately thought about the important people in my life that have played an important role in my life. My fiancé’, my parents, and my sisters have been my support system. Also, my computer and cellphone have played an important part in my daily life.
My fiancé` is my #1 supporter. We have been together for 5years. We are expecting our first child next month. He has been very supportive throughout the own pregnancy. He has supported me 100%. He has always been there for me. We pushed each other to follow. I wouldn’t know what to do without him in my life. He has been my #1 supporter in Master program.

My parents play an important part in my life. My parents are always pushing me to follow my dreams and to get a good education. If I didn’t have my parents in my life I wouldn’t know what to do. Without my parents in my life, I think I would have lost my mind and I would be very lost. My parents have taught me so much. I am the person that I am today because of them. I thank God that I have loving parents like them. My parents didn’t treat none of their kids differently. They treated us the same. I love my parents.

My sisters has played an important part in my life. My sisters have made my life a little easier. I am the baby in the family. Since I was the baby of the family they made sure that I had a great life and a good education. I thank GOD for my support system without them I wouldn’t know what to do. My sisters are the best I couldn’t ask for better sisters. We believe in A FAMILY that PRAYS together STAYS together.

When I was little, we play on play set.
When I was little, I use to love the ride my bike with my sisters.
When I was little, my mom made sure that we had some kind of play time when we get out of school. She made sure that we rode our bikes so that we could get some exercise. I remember when I was in daycare, I use to love to play in the dramatic play area. I love to play dress up. Everyday, when I got to school I looked forward in the play dress up. At the daycare I remember I loved to play on the computers so I could learn new materials. The teachers had different games on the computer for her students to learn and play. Play is pretty much the same but a little different. When I was younger we had computers to play on, they took the computers away from the children. Children learn through play. Play is still the same because they have the different areas where they can play in at school. All the children love to play in the sand and water table and the dramatic centers. While children are playing, they learn to develop physical skills. Children learn how to reach, grasp, crawl, run, climb, and balance. They also learn to develop cognitive concepts child learn to solve problems. That’s why play is important!
Relationship Reflection
Relationship is important to me because you have people to support you when you are in trouble. When you are gong through something, there is that one person you can always call to talk to and that person is always there when you need them the most. I look at the relationship that me and my fiancé has, we have a great relationship. We have been together for 5 years now. In our relationship we trust each other. I was told without trust you don’t have anything. We communicate very well. When we have problems in our relationship that’s between us. What happens in our relationship should stay in our relationship. We can talk to each other about anything. My fiancé has always been by my side when I needed him. He’s my best friend. I had to go through some bad relationship to know what kind of man I wanted and needed. My mom and I have a great relationship. My mom is the best. I wouldn’t trade her for nothing. My mom has always been there for me, when I need her the most. My mom is my role model. She has taught me many things about life. She taught me how to be a lady. I can talk to my mom about anything. I call and talk to my mom everyday. I love them!

Standardized Testing in China
Education has always been considered the most important path to success in Chinese culture. Parents recognize achievements in core subjects, which include maths, Chinese and English at secondary school level, are vital for success in the new society. They strongly encourage their children and have high expectations of them to fulfil their own dreams.
As more Chinese students set their sights on the English‐speaking world, Americans are getting a first‐hand look at their test‐taking prowess. Students in my IB program are weaker than average by HSANNU standards (the IB is still largely unknown in China), but they do just fine on American standardized tests. The SAT Math is so easy for them that they can hardly contain a smile. One student told me that the Chinese SAT tutors generally ignore it because, as one of them told a group of students, “any Chinese should be able to get an 800 on the math.” In making my rounds as college counselor, I once overheard two math teachers talking wistfully about the weakness of a particular student, only to find out later that she scored 730 on the SAT math. Among the 29 students in our graduating class, the lowest math score was 690. The Critical Reading and Writing sections are more challenging for obvious reasons, but with a few months of intense preparation, students can usually crack 600 and occasionally 700.

About 6 or 7 years ago, my little cousin which was about 4 or 5 years old at the time. She had gotten a disease because her mother was selling her for drugs. (Sad) The little girl went to school and told her teacher what was going on with her. Lucky, she was brave enough to tell someone. Immediately, the little girl was taking away from her mother and was placed in foster care. I haven’t seen her in about three years now. Last time I seen her she was about 16 or 18 years old. She was doing well in school. She had an apartment and she had a part time job. I think the little girl was too young to know what was going on at the time. I know she was very scared. I hate that she had to go through all of that at a young age.
The country I chose was Africa. The kind of stressor that impacts the development of children in Africa is childhood poverty, chronic stress, and self regulation. One reason why poverty is stressful for the children in Africa because of the environment they grow up in. The poor children stay in homes that are very chaotic, with structural problems, noise, crowding, toxins, and allergen. They live in neighborhoods that have less social capital; are exposed to more toxins and pollutants, crimes and street traffic; and have fewer places to engage in physical activity and less access to healthy food. Another stressor in that impact the development of children in Africa is AIDs. AIDs are a big factor for South African society. HIV and AIDs are affection the size and structure of South Africa’s population and impacts on the population are only in their infancy.

Breastfeeding around the world
Breastfeeding is the normal way of providing young infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. Nursing is a wonderful experience for both mother and baby. It provides ideal nourishment and a special bonding experience that many nursing mothers cherish.
The reason why I choose breastfeeding is because when you breastfeed your baby you will experience the bonding between the mother and the baby. Also, when parents breastfeed their baby, the cost of milk it free. I think that breastfeeding is the best way to help the baby to grow.
Breastfeeding protects your baby from a long list of illness. Numerous studies from around the world have shown that stomach viruses, lower respiratory illnesses, ear infections, and meningitis occur less often in breastfed babies and are less severe when they do happen. Exclusive breastfeeding (meaning no solid food, formula, or water) for at least six months seems to offer the most protection.
One large study by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences showed that children who are breastfed have a 20 percent lower risk of dying between the ages of 28 days and 1 year than children who weren’t breastfed, with longer breastfeeding associated with lower risk.
Breastfeeding around the world
The Philippines is one of the leaders in international efforts to promote and protect women’s right to breastfeed. The country has implemented laws to control aggressive marketing by formula companies and their false claims that formula makes babies smarter. The WHO estimated that the nation’s total lost wages from caring for formula-fed children with diarrhea and acute respiratory infections during the first six months of life was 1 billion pesos ($23.4 million). Eighty-eight percent of Filipino babies are breastfed at birth and 34% are exclusively breastfed up to five months of age.
While 95% of Indian infants are breastfed at birth, roughly 46% of infants are exclusively breastfed in India, according to UNICEF. Similar to Sierra Leone, many in rural areas believe colostrum is “dirty milk” and it is often expressed and discarded by breastfeeding mothers. Of those children who are breastfed, 77% are reportedly still breastfed at 21 to 23 months.
Nearly two decades of war have led to high levels of food insecurity in DR Congo—31% of children under the age of five suffer from moderate to severe malnutrition. Amid these grim figures, a meager 39% of infants are breastfed at birth. Only 19% of infants under six months are exclusively breastfed

Child Birth
I have never experienced a child birth before. I have no kids. I have a some nieces and nephews and I didn’t get a chance to witness none of their births. I do remember when I was born my mother said that I smell liked red hot candy. I plan to witness the birth of my child one day.
